This Picture of Paris, France captivated my attention because of the lighting and the way the Eiffel Tower and the water seem to brighten up the whole picture. I like how the Eiffel Tower was captured to the side so that it would be a big element, but not the only one. I infer that this was taken during sunset and that the photographers motive for taken this picture was to show the beauty of Paris in a different way than just simply taking a straight on pic of the Eiffel Tower. With the lighting, it sort of gives a sense of calm and cool.

Here is a picture of humans swimming above and fish swimming down below. I see the calm water separating one from the other as to differenciate them, but at the same time showing them in unison. This photograph makes me question what the purpose of capturing them both from below was. I infer that the photographer might be trying to make a comparison between us humans and animals. I believe this because this photograph makes me think a bit more than just saying "its a cool picture."

 This picture, named Homeless, was chosen as the best environmental photo of 2011. The photographer, Chan kwok. wanted to tell the story of these two children who spent two entire days in search for food in scrap yards. This photo makes me question where their parents are, what they are doing on their own at such a young age, and why there appears to be so much pain in their eyes? This photo definetely caught my attention and gave off strong emotion.

 This amazing sight is lightning striking in the falls in Guyana Kaieteur, taken by the phtographer from the United Kingdom, James Broscombe. I see lightning, i see a colorful sky, i see land that maybe has been separated by a strong force. I infer that something in nature brought this about and that the lightning served more than just the purpose of capturing a bolt of light. This makes me question what occured to create this scene? The photographer's motive for capturing this was most likely to capture an uncommom and rarely seen sight.

This photo, taken by William Lascelles, captures this beautiful dog & the perfectly synchronized jets in the background blue spacious sky. i infer from thje look of the house in the back that the dog belongs to a rather wealthy family. A question that arose in my mind was what the relationship between the dog and the jets is? what was the photographer trying to portray in this photo?
